MITCHELL Faye L. Chastain, 92, Mitchell, passed away at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at Bedford Regional Medical Center.
Born February 3, 1917, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Henry and Ida Mae (Burton) McPherson. She married Harold Chastain June 8, 1935, and he preceded her in death February 20, 1980.
She was a homemaker and a turkey and hog farmer.
Faye was member of Order of Eastern Star No. 503 and the First Baptist Church.

Her parents; husband; and brothers, Leland, Emmitt, and Burton McPherson and half brother, Ivis Magner; and sister, Lorena Eversole, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Michael Collins officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
