MITCHELL – Francis Haley, 80, Mitchell, passed away at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford.

Born March 7, 1925, in Fairfield, Illinois, he was the son of Isom and Dorothy (McClines) Haley, Sr.
He married Barbara Jean Bledsoe in March of 1952, and she preceded him in death in 1979. He married Takako (Kihara) Little July 1, 1980, and she survives.

He was a mechanic and had been employed 15 years at International Harvester, 20 years at Pal Deckard Ford, and retired from McArdle International.

He was a U. S. Air Force veteran of World War II.

His parents; first wife; brothers, Isom Haley, Jr. and Phillip Haley; and sister, Ruth McCoy, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 30, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis D. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service on Thursday at the funeral home.
