MITCHELL – George Robert Troxel, 24, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023.

Born June 8, 1999, in Crossville, Tennessee, he was the son of George Troxel and Carolyn (Robinson) Troxel.

George worked as a cook at Wing & Rings in Bedford.  He enjoyed doing anything a country boy would do, including fishing, four-wheeling, and fixing things.

Surviving are his mother, Carolyn Troxel of Crossville, Tennessee; father, George Troxel of Mitchell; step-mother, Riann Donnell of Mitchell; son, Max Troxel of Mitchell; brothers, Isaac Moles of Crossville, Tennessee and Jacob Moles of Crossville, Tennessee; uncles, Mike Troxel of Albany, Kentucky, Tony (Libby) Troxel of Albany Kentucky, and Ryan (Kellyn) Troxel of Albany, Kentucky; aunts, Kim Grooms of Peebles, Ohio and Patty Troxel of Albany, Kentucky; several cousins; and Grandma Pat.

His grandparents, Bob and Roma Troxel, and Lonnie Robinson; and aunt, Tammy Hall, preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 3, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Cremation to follow.

    I am so sorry to hear about George. He was just at the farm asking me if he could work on his breaks there. I told him he was always welcomed. He always had this big smile that lit up the room. The last thing he said to me was,” I just want to be friends with everybody”. I truly believe he meant that. You don’t run across many people in this world that just want to be friends with everybody. I’m thankful for his friendship to my grandkids, Elizabeth and Josh. George will always be missed.

    Ohhh Georgie. I work at the Marathon here in town, and Georgie would always come in just a smiling, and saying something funny. One day, he told me we should go on a date. I told him “he was a baby, just a little boy learning about the world.” His response was the best though. “Age ain’t nothin but a number, babe.” haha! He was one of a kind, and such a good person. Thinking of him and his family, especially that little boy right now.

    Georgie was an amazing man tought me most of what ik with fixing my bikes an everything he tought me how to defend myself every since I was a little boy he was my role model we had so much funny memories an messed up moments together that id do anything to tell the boys I love him one last time an for him to understand me an I get a response back but things happen out of no where you will be missed my friend forever an always I'll see you in the afterlife brother
