MITCHELL Gerald R. Porter, 77, Mitchell, passed away at 11:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009, at his residence.
Born October 17, 1931, in Washington County, he was the son of Harry Enoch and Margaret Elizabeth (Ferber) Porter. He married Dorothy Lea Hopper November 27, 1950, and she preceded him in death December 6, 1988. He married Dellana (Dotts) Armstrong February 14, 1991.
He retired from Lehigh Cement Company with 41 years and 8 months of service. He had been a farmer and was a member of Fishing Creek Christian Church.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 6, at Talbott Cemetery with Bro. Josh Brumfield officiating.
