MITCHELLHarold White, 77, Mitchell, passed away at 8:00 a.m. Friday,
October 26, at his residence.
Born March 9, 1930, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Opal and Leafy Agnes (Burton) White. He married Charlotte R. Mundy March 2, 1951.
He retired from Carpenter Body Works with 42 years of service and was known as Hog Jaw. He graduated from Huron High School in 1949 and was a member of Hillcrest Christian Church.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a Purple Heart recipient.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 29, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Scott and Rev. Dwight Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
Friends may call from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.
