 MITCHELL – Jerry Lee Arnold, 79, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018, at his residence.

Born December 4, 1938, in Mitchell, he was the son of Frank and Ruth (Alexander) Arnold.  He married Patricia Ann Ratliff March 27, 1986.

He retired from General Motors with 30 years of service and was a member of UAW Local No. 440.   Jerry loved sports and played football and baseball at Mitchell High School.  He graduated in the Class of 1956.  He enjoyed softball, golf, and bowling.

Jerry was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran.

His parents and great grandson, Braeden Shea Modglin, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Roger Allen and Pastor Jim Valentine officiating. Burial will be in Burton Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 9107.

Friends may call from noon until the service on Monday at the funeral home.
