BEDFORDJesslyn (Owens) Pickens, 85, Bedford, passed away at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at her residence.
Born July 23, 1923, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Leslie and Loretta (Carmichael) Owens. She married Loren Leon Pickens September 3, 1943, and he preceded her in death June 23, 1993.
She had been employed at RCA and was a secretary in the Bursar’s office at Indiana University. Jesslyn graduated from Oolitic High School in 1940, and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She belonged to the Monday Bridge Club.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
