MITCHELL Jonnie Mae Shoop, 76, Mitchell, passed away at 4:25 a.m. Monday, August 14, Bloomington Hospital.
Born December 25, 1929, in Pennington Gap, Virginia, she was the daughter of John and Eva Mae (Bush) Hackney. She married T. J. Shoop July 22, 1967.
She had been employed at Mills Market and was a member of Carters Creek Christian Church and Tulip Street Christian Church.

Her parents and brother, Paul Lee Hackney, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 17, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Brothers Eugene Pruett, Darrin Chastain, and Max Timbrook officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Orleans.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
