MITCHELL – Kathy L. Cummings, 64, passed away at 5:39 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born September 15, 1950, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Leslie “Jack” and Catherine (Tripp) Houchin.

Kathy retired from General Motors and was a member of UAW Local No. 440.

Surviving:              son, Jim (Connie) Wilson III, Paoli
                                     2 grandchildren
                                     1 great grandson
                                     several nieces and nephews
                       siblings, Sharon Abbott, Leesburg, Florida
                                     Charles Houchin, Mitchell
                                     Dorothy Wagner, Mitchell
                                     Marlin Houchin, Mitchell
                                     Carol Hughes, Mitchell

Her parents and brother, infant Marvin Houchin, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 24, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother ­­­­Jim Russell officiating.  Entombment will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on  Wednesday at the funeral home.
