Mr. McCune was my 4th grade teacher and the best teacher I ever had. He would spend his own hard earned money to fund projects for us to spark our creativity and thought that were way beyond his requirements as a teacher. What a great man. He touched so many lives in his teaching career and I strive to leave half the legacy he did.

I have known Lanny and Minnie casually for many years and always been envious of there loving and friendly grace. Recently Lanny and I bonded over finding we were related from several generations ago. It was one of those proud moments when you find that you have the same blood bond with someone who is so friendly caring and giving. Thank you Lanny for this wonderful sharing and I will miss hearing hey cuz at breakfast deeply. Congratulations Minnie on having the opportunity to spend so much life with such a fine gentleman and my condolences

Mr. McCune was my 4th grade elementary teacher and they just don’t make teachers like him any more. Many years after I grew older and graduated high school and later college he always would stop and say hi to me and my family when he Would see me. He was kind, a great teacher, and a person you wanted to bump into. My favorite memory was Mr. McCune taking us to his garden to plant a vegetable and watch it grow for science. Unfortunately, mine was a radish but I still loved the experience. Many prayers to you Minnie and the rest of the family during this difficult time. The Carter Family.

To the family of Mr. McCune. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Mr. McCune was one of my all time favorite teachers. My mother and father also highly respected him as a teacher for myself and my siblings. He is also one of the teachers that influenced me to become a teacher and one that I modeled myself after and wanted to be like when I became a teacher. He was such an amazing man.

Lanny, was my 4th grade teacher at old Redding. He is my favorite teacher of all time. I still remember how we hatched chicken eggs, he also would put all of our Math Facts on the windows with water paint. He is the reason I became and Elementary teacher. Sorry for your loss.

Minnie and family. So sorry to hear about Mr. McCune. Of course, I have to call him that since he was my fourth grade teacher. Loved seeing him once in awhile around town. He always knew who I was. And he had my son in class also.. and he remembered that. Sure will miss seeing him. Prayers for all of you.
