MITCHELL Linda Kay Gibson, 67, Mitchell, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010, at her residence.
Born June 3, 1943, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Clarence and Margaret Jean (Blackburn) Smith. She married Cornelius Gibson.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and babysitting. She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and Fundraising for Special Needs Kids at Patoka Lake.

Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be 6:00 p.m. Saturday, July24, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 25, in Green Acres Cemetery at Whitesburg, Kentucky.
Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
