MITCHELL – Linda Kay Phillips, 53, Mitchell, passed away Friday afternoon, January 20, 2006, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born May 27, 1952, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Milton “Smokey” and Gletas E. (Blackwell) Lynch. She married Steven E. Phillips November 16, 1970, and he survives.
She had been employed at General Electric in Bloomington. She was a member of Carters Creek Christian Church and a 1970 graduate of Mitchell High School.

Her mother, Gletas E. Smith, and a sister, Matilda Lynch, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Brother Eugene Pruett officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
