MITCHELL Louise M. Jeffries, 89, Mitchell, passed away at 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born July 2, 1919, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of William Henry and Sarah Elizabeth (Persinger) Reynolds. She married Jesse B. Jeffries May 1945, and he preceded her in death September 1968.
She had been employed at Reliance Manufacturing and retired from NAD Crane. Louise was a member of the Orleans Church of Christ.
Surviving: several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Verna Marie Lake, Mary Ellen Tolbert, and Lucille Wood; and brothers, Ezra, John, Ray, Roy, William, Arthur, Barney, and Everett Reynolds.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 25, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Mahlar officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
