INDIANAPOLIS Marcella G. King Chanley, 74, Indianapolis, passed away at 3:10 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2008, at Kindred Hospital in Greenwood.

Born January 17, 1934, in Shoals, she was the daughter of John T. and Phoebe (Thombleson) Ferguson. She married Ted King and he preceded her in death January 23, 1978 . Her next marriage was to James R. Chanley.

She was a matron for the Perry Township Schools and retired in 1990. She graduated from Shoals High School, and was a member of the South Keystone Church of Christ, Beech Grove Moose Lodge, Fletcher Place Senior Citizens and Carson Heights Neighborhood Association.

Her parents; first husband; and six siblings preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 25, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home. Burial will be in Port William Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
