MITCHELL – Martha Jane (Campbell) Trinkle, 92, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.

Born December 19, 1924, in Salem, she was the daughter of Thomas and Iva (Fultz) Campbell.

Martha had been employed at Smith Cabinet Factory. She was an avid Indiana University Basketball fan and loved to read and cook.

grandchildren,
Scott Smith, Todd Smith, Shea Van Hoy, Mandi Dersch
great grandchildren,
Hayden Dersch, Branson Smith, Sara Ehlers, Stratton Smith, Kassidy Smith

Her parents and five brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

Cremation was chosen with interment to be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem at a later date.

I've though so much about Martha since learning of her passing, it remains amazing to me that she raised two daughters on her own, a horribly hard thing to do. As a single woman with no financial help, she faced hardships that not many women had to face. I always respected her tanasity to provide all she could for the girls....
