MITCHELL Mary Elizabeth McClure, 85, Mitchell, passed away at 3:00 a.m. Sunday, July 10, at Bedford Regional Medical Center.
She was born October 3, 1919 in Lawrence County. She married Russell L. McClure in 1936, and he preceded her in death November 5, 1986.
She was a former cashier at the JayC Store, and had been employed at Spring Mill State Park, Mills Market, and in the office of the Lawrence County Assessor. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Her husband; and sisters, Martha Tanksley, Ellen Reed, and Agatha Head, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Bechtel officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
