MITCHELL – Mary Lou Brown, 89, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at her residence.

Born January 1, 1930, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of George and Beerock (Walters) Goldsby.  She married Charles N. Brown September 1948, and he preceded her in death July 24, 1962.

Mary retired from NWSC Crane and was a member of Rivers Edge Fellowship Church.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting.

Her parents; husband; son, Charles Brown; grandchildren, Lonnie Reynolds, Victor Brown, and Charles Burrage;  great granddaughter, Angel Mary Burrage; and sisters, Peggy Taylor and Gean Kathleen Goldsby, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 500 p.m. Sunday, March 31, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Phil Thorne officiating. Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Old Union Christian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
