The Ramey Family, Max was my basketball coach at FHS during 1971-74. Each time that I would return to the state of Indiana, I made a point to stop by to see him, we would drink tea and talk for hours. Plus, called and spoke on the phone a few times each year. We talked about the High School years and basketball, always my mentor in life. We became friends over the years. Max will always be Coach Ramey for me. He will be missed.

Kathy and I were so sorry to learn of the passing of Max. Our condolences go out the entire family. As we start another basketball season here in Vero Beach it is disheartening to know a coach that always offered sound advice is gone. RIP to a very good coach and educator.

Since the 7th grade at Fayetteville Max always taught us to TAKE THE BALL TO THE HOOP. Which has become a life lesson for me. I will deeply miss my teacher and friend. Praying for the family.

To all of Max/Bud Ramey's family today, whom I unfortunately never knew, I send my condolences and pray for your comfort in this sad time. Max and I grew up together next door neighbors and shared many hours of BBall in the backyard on S. 9th St. Seeing him at '56 class reunions was always a highlight of the gatherings for me. May God grant you peace in knowing there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven and every tear will eventually be wiped away.

Kurt , Marci, and Chloe, I am so sorry for your loss. I, too, had Mr. Ramey for Driver's ed. I remember him yelling at me through the car's radio during Range because I was driving too fast. LOL. I got three speeding tickets the first month I had my license. Losing someone you love is one of the most difficult things to go through in life. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Max was the absolute best! From Drivers ED to passing him in the isles at the store he always took time out his day to chat with me. He coached my dad when he was in school. I always commented on how well he kept his Honda Accord clean! Max rest easy buddy you will definitely be missed!
