MITCHELL — Melody Rose Henderson, 57, passed away at 5:17 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford.

Born December 30, 1955, in San Diego, California, she was the daughter of Robert and Naomi (Austill) Clem. She married Hamel Wayne Henderson August 15, 1975.

Melody was a homemaker, babysitter, and a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1974.

She was preceded in death by her father; sister, Mary Box; and stepbrother, James Zearbaugh.

Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, at Mitchell Cemetery with Reverend Steve Jones officiating.

Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

    My thoughts nd prayers are with the family. Melody was my good friend when i was 15 i used to spend the weekends with her when she had a little trailor on orchard st she was such fun she will be missed
