SHOALS – Norman Darrell Mundy, 78, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Loogootee Nursing Center.
Born January 24, 1944, in Lawrence County, he was the son of George and Blanche (King) Mundy. He married Charlotte Marie Williams December 31, 1983.
Norman retired from National Gypsum. He was a 1962 graduate of Huron High School, and a member of the Fairview Church of Christ, and Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2442. Norman was a former member of Mitchell Masonic Lodge No. 228 F.&A.M. He enjoyed hunting mushrooms, fishing, playing cards, and was an avid IU basketball fan. Norman loved his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.

His parents; and brothers, Kenneth Mundy and Dorrie G. Mundy, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 18, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Richard Holt and Brother Kris Beasley officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
