I’m not sure what to say because I’m still in shock of the news. I do know that Rusti was one of a kind! I met Rusti when she was an aide back when my brothers rode Jana’s bus. Then, I had the pleasure of working with Rusti for Head Start. No matter when I had seen or her, she always had a smile on her face, always working her butt off, and was completely committed to her sweet Treyton. Treyton was everything to her! She always allowed for his imagination to take off and soar in every way he wanted and could. She allowed for him to explore and more! Words cannot express my deepest condolences to her whole family, friends, and coworkers.....to all who had the pleasure of knowing her! She will be truly missed! May God wrap His loving arms around Treyton during this tough time as well!

I met Rusti over 20 years ago when my sister Jennifer Caruso invited me to come play BUNKO with a group of women from Mitchell. Her words to me were "Sis, YOU will love these women" and she was right. Rusti was a barrel of fun and so beautiful, welcoming and funny. I loved spending time with her and the group. It has been many years since I've seen Rusti, but I have always considered her a good friend. I know that if I ever needed anything she would be right there no matter how many years had passed since we had seen one another. I am so very sorry for your loss, my heart is broken. You are all in my thoughts and prayers!! One of my thoughts when I heard this sad news was that Rusti and Jennifer are now in Heaven together having the time of their lives. Rusti you were a beautiful soul and you are going to be missed so very much!!! Judy

Shocked and saddened by the news of your passing. It's hard to pick just one fond memory to post when you are talking about someone like Rusti. We grew up in the same neighborhood and were classmates throughout our entire childhood and became good friends from the beginning. You are one of a kind and will be missed terribly. Deepest sympathy and condolences to Dorothy, Shanna, Trey and the rest of the family during this most difficult time. Until we meet again my friend.

Rusti was so much more than a friend, she was family, she was my sister. I have so many fond memories. We shared both laughter and tears, thankfully there was a lot more laughter. Rusti would take a day and a half to tell a story! She was always up for shenanigans. Her love for her family, especially Trey, was beyond measure. I will miss her so much and my heart breaks for those who loved her. May God bless her and rest her. We will be together again, my co-worker, my friend, my sister.

I can’t remember a time when Rustí & I weren’t friends - we were Job’s Daughters together and volunteered at Mitchell Manor together in high school and played Bunco together after high school - we were always so happy to run into each other and I would look for her each morning as she was usually driving by my house as I was leaving for work and would honk & wave - I take solace in the knowledge that we will continue our friendship when we are reunited in Heaven ♥ Until that day I will miss you my dear sweet friend
