Rick was my soul mate and we loved each other deeply. He is now with both his parents and my parents probably comparing racing stories and garage stories. He was a very compassionate man. He was right by my side when my mom was sick and at her funeral. He loved babies and puppies (although he would never admit he loved babies) He truly enjoyed being Santa Claus at Toys for Tots Abate Christmas party. We had to go through the line to see all the kids. He made sure there were a lot of bikes to give away and all the bolts were tight and tires were aired up and safe. He was an angel and blessing in my life. I loved him dearly.

My brother was a one of a kind guy. Always quick to tell a joke, lend a hand, be a friend, life of the party and a terrific brother. He battled cancer courageously this past year and never once complained, just said "it is as it is". We all were lucky to have him and he will be sorely missed. His suffering has ended and he's with mom and dad now. Heaven doesn't realize what it's in for. An angel with a sense of humor. Little brother, sure gonna miss you. Hope you realize now as you look down how loved you really are. We should all be so lucky. Until we are together again, keep an eye on us and keep us safe down here.

My heart was saddened Thursday when I received a call from CW telling me Rick passed. I will always have my memories of him when he was stationed at Fort Riley, Ks. and other times over the years. My throughts and prayers are with the rest of my brothers and sisters. I'm sorry I can't make the trip to be with all of you at this sad time, but I will be there with you on Sunday in spirit. Rick will be joining dad and be pain free and will be another angel watching over all of us. Rest in peace my brother. Until we meet again. God bless. Patty
