OOLITIC Robert C. Hillenburg, 77, Oolitic, passed away at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born December 5, 1934, in Bedford, he was the son of Claude and Gertie (Ray) Hillenburg. He married Christina G. Chastain May 1, 1964, and she preceded him in death January 30, 2008.
He was an Oolitic High School graduate and retired from RCA. Robert was of the Baptist faith.

His parents; wife; brother, Earl Hillenburg; sisters, Monita Davis, Ruby Randolph, Pauline Webb, Gretna Gilson and Lillian Fultz; and grandson, Lance Corporal Eric Dean Hillenburg, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 13, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Hillenburg and Rev. Robert C. Hillenburg officiating. Burial will be at Lawrenceport Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3:00 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
