ORLEANS – Robert Lee “Bob” Grissom, 59, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born August 24, 1962, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Ryburn and Karen (Chapman) Grissom.  He married Lori Diane Brown, October 5, 2015.

Bob was the owner, operator, and driver of his own trucking company.   He was a member of The Sons of American Legion Post 250, Legion Riders, Owner Operators Independent Drivers Association, and the American Association of Truck Drivers.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and cleaning and shining his truck.  Bob loved spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Lori Diane Grissom of Orleans; children, two daughters; siblings, Nancy Anna White of French Lick and Walter “Toby” Emmons of Orangeville.

His parents preceded him in death.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16 at Hanson Cemetery with Brother Danny Kern presiding.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

Bob’s wishes were for everyone to wear jeans and a T-shirt.

    So sorry to hear of Bobby’s passing. Always enjoyed talking with him at our Aunt Louise’s. He always had a story and a smile. May he Rest In Peace. Prayers to his wife and family. So very sorry, gone way too soon.
