I first met Romaine in 1946 when he and Dale Gerkin bought the skating rink on Hwy 50W between Huron & Bryantsville. I was only 14 but he & Dale, just fresh back from the war were heroes in my eyes. Both were so kind & friendly and made a youngster feel like they counted for something.

Many memories of Romaine and Opha June. They took my mother Sue to the hospital the day I was born and were always special to our family. Go with God Romaine. I'll be thinking of you and Opha together again, forever.
