PEKIN Ronnie Joe Rodgers, 45, passed away at 10:18 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2012, at St. Vincent Salem Hospital.

Born September 3, 1967, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Diane (Tuddy) Batchelor.

Ronnie was a self employed roofer and a member of the New Beginning Baptist Church.

His stepfather, Bob Robinson, and brother, Larry Dale Bachelor, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Scott Huffaker officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

    everyone will miss Ronnie and we will all see him again later on. prayers will be said by me and a lot of other people. He was a step dad to me because he took care of me. It makes my cry every time i hear his name. He will be missed and he will rest in peace!
