BEDFORD – Sandra Sue VanMeter, 69, passed away Friday, August 16, at her residence.

Born August 26, 1949, in Shoals, she was the daughter of Harry William Jones and Violet Marie (Holt) Roberts. She married Charles Michael VanMeter February 21, 2004.

Sandra had been a truck driver, delivered motor homes, and lastly worked at PRD.

Her father; son, David Eugene Johnson; step daughter, Rosemarie VanMeter; and siblings, William Jones, Kenneth Jones, Connie Duncan, and Donna Hall, preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Cremation will follow.
