CAMPBELLSBURG Scotty Joe Tolbert, 69, (Saltillo Community) passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, July 10, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born October 3, 1941, in Saltillo, he was the son of Scott Newton and Jean Ruth (Gould) Tolbert. He married Lucy Jane Dillon July 28, 1983.
He retired from Childcraft in Salem with 41 years of service. Scotty was also an original “American Picker,” buying scrap metal and antiques. He was a member of the Saltillo Christian Church, and graduated in 1959 from Campbellsburg High School.

His parents; daughter, Tracy Jo; sister, Cassie Jean Moore; granddaughter, Tracy Ann; and brother-in-law, Ron Baker, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Brumfield officiating. Burial will be in Saltillo Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
