MITCHELL– Shirley Louise Mounce, 79, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital

Born July 29, 1942, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Dick and Goldie (Holt) Milligan.  She married Charles Mounce on March 7, 1958 and he preceded her in death April 11, 1998.

Shirley graduated from Mitchell High School and retired from Visteon after 20 years.  She enjoyed crafting and doing yard work.

Surviving are her children, Jeffrey (Terri) Mounce of Mitchell and Brian “Duke” Mounce of Mitchell; sisters, Brenda Luchauer of Mitchell and Betty Fox of Mitchell; and three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.         

Her parents; husband; and siblings, LouEtta Sullivan, Tom Milligan, and Fay Holt preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m. Friday in the Memorial Chapel at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  Cremation will follow with burial at a later date at Mitchell Cemetery.
