SOUTH BEND – Steven L. Coulter, 48, formerly of Mitchell, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend surrounded by his family.
Born July 1, 1964, in Orange County, he was the son of Royston “Tad” and Dorothy (King) Coulter. He married Stephanie Artemik September 10, 2011.
Steve had been employed at Hancock Construction Company and was presently superintendent of Highland Cemetery in South Bend.
He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 250, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107, and a 1982 graduate of Mitchell High School.

His father and stepfather, Larry Kirk, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Tim Voorhies officiating. Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 8, at Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
