MITCHELL – Theron M. Shaw, Sr., 70, Mitchell, formerly of Martinsville, passed away at 5:00 a.m. Friday, July 7, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born October 25, 1935, in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, he was the son of Otis Orin and Teenie (Lester) Shaw. He married Janice Kunkler May 18, 1957, and she preceded him in death February 11, 2004.
He retired from General Motors-Chevrolet in Indianapolis and was a member of United Auto Workers. He was a member of Jonathon’s Gym Health Club and attended Unity Missionary Baptist Church.

His parents; wife; and brothers, Virgil, Otis, Hubert, Arley, and Rondal Shaw preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Goens officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
