MITCHELL – Thomas Cecil Case, 79, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at his home.

Born June 1, 1942 in Bedford, he was the son of Winford and Alice (Chase) Case.  He married Janice Hauger March 10, 1962.

Tom retired from General Motors with 43 years of service.  He enjoyed woodworking and building computers.  Tom was a member of the Orleans Church of Christ and had served as an elder and deacon.  He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1960.

Surviving:             wife, Janice Case of Mitchell

                       children, Marsha Wolf of Madison, Wisconsin

                                      Lanny (Deanna) Case of Orleans

                                      Rebecca (Tharon) Hall of Louisville, Kentucky

              grandchildren, Leah (Justin) Jones, Isaac Hall, Jeremiah Hall, Priscilla Hall,

                                      Elizabeth Case, and Steven Case

                                      4 great grandchildren

                            sister, Nancy Nicholson of Campbellsburg

His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Mike Davis officiating.  Burial will be in Lawrenceport Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

    One of my favorite memories of Uncle Tom was how he loved to research family history. I cherish the DVD of photos he made for me of Grandma and Papaw Hauger. i.have so many wonderful memories. Love you all very much.

    Tom was a true Man of God. Tom was my dads cousin and and Janice was my moms cousin. Im so sorry for the family. He was well loved and I know for sure my parents are happy reunited with him.
