ORLEANS – Howard Elvin “Boodie” Burton, Jr., 84, passed away at 5:00 a.m. Sunday, June 28, 2015, at the home of his daughter in Columbus.
Born November 20, 1930, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Howard E. and Glydia Mae (Eversole) Burton, Sr. He was married to Margaret Eileen Brewer.
Howard had been employed at Fitch Chevrolet and Hancock Construction Company.

His parents; wife; and siblings, Barbara R. Rawlings, Mary Elizabeth Burton, Louise Burton, Dorothy Mae McPherson, Mary F. Sanders, Marie Williams, Claude R. Burton, William M. Burton, and Walter H. Burton, preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Mitchell Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Robert Courson, Jr. officiating.
