BEDFORD — Joe L. Koenig, 87, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.
Born April 11, 1930, in Bicknell, he was the son of Jacob F. and Helen (Steffy) Koenig. He married Nancy Lela Wittenmyer June 15, 1963.
Joe retired from Mullis Petroleum and attended the Bride of Christ Fellowship. He enjoyed working on tractors, especially John Deere. Joe was a U. S. Army veteran.

His parents; daughter, Marsha K. Gardner; and siblings, Lucille Howe, Helen Martha Hayes, Betty Neal, Gayle Nolting, Lois Scott, and Jimmy Koenig, preceded him in death.
Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at the Bride of Christ Fellowship with Brother Jerry Allen officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service on Saturday at the church.
Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 5, in Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
