MITCHELL – Lois Mae Pless, 89, passed away at 5:45 a.m. April 27, 2017, at her home on Woodville Road.
Born February 20, 1928, in Chilton County, Alabama, she was the daughter of Jady and Ella Mae (Northcutt) Mims. She married Winfred Eugene Pless July 17, 1946, and he preceded her in death June 20, 1978.
Lois was a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 30 years, and was a member of Woodville Baptist Church.
Survivors include; children, Tammy (Rick) Brown of Mitchell, Rita Gail Kliebert of Denton, Texas, Duane Pless of Fort Meade, Florida; brother, J.D. Mims, Jr. of Hueytown, Alabama; sisters, Frances Donaldson of Keystone Heights, Florida, and Ruby Faye Irvin of Dora, Alabama; grandchildren, Michael (Cheryl) Pless, Robert (Kristen) Pless, Christopher (Anthony) Brown, Toya (Cody) Lamm; and five great grandchildren; Micah, Jorja, Josie, Kenleigh, and Kaiden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Michael and Steve; sisters, Margie Jane Haste, Josephine Bonnett, Johnnie Jones, Dorothy Ervin, Willie Mae Fairchild; and brothers, A.J. Mims, Sr., A.C. Northcutt, Jimmie Mims, Charles Mims, and James Donald Mims.
Cremation has been chosen with a celebration of life at a later date.
