MITCHELL – Ralph Turner, Sr., 86, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017, at his residence.
Born March 3, 1930, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Dewey and Ollie (Jeffries) Turner. He married Anna Mae Treadway June 8, 1950, and she preceded him in death March 11, 2006.
Ralph retired from National Gypsum and was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 250.

His parents; wife; sons, Ralph Turner, Jr., and Allen Ray Turner; daughter-in-law, Debbie Turner; grandsons, Jamie Turner and Eric Turner; and great grandsons, Dakota Elliott and Skylar Tillette; and siblings, Frank Turner, Jim Turner, Sam Turner, Charles Turner, Kenny Turner, and Marie Tillette, preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen. A graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, at Lawrenceport Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
There is no scheduled visitation at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
