VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA — Ricky Lynn Spradlin, 59, formerly of Mitchell, passed away at 1:23 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Born March 4, 1954, in Malvern, Arkansas, he was the son of James Franklin Spradlin, Sr., and Annas (Osborne) Spradlin Hall.
Ricky was a retired veteran of the US Navy and a 1972 graduate of Mitchell High School.

His parents and brother, James Franklin Spradlin, Jr., preceded him in death.
Graveside service was at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, at Spice Valley Cemetery with Rev. Dwight Dunbar officiating. Military honors were accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
