MITCHELL – Blanch I. Varvel, 78, Mitchell, passed away at 8:55 a.m. Sunday, July 16, 2006, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born June 16, 1928, in Washington County, she was the daughter of Milo and Daisy (Collier) Brewer. She married Hubert Eugene Varvel March 3, 1945, and he preceded her in death September 4, 1999.
She had been employed at Smith Cabinet Company and was a member of Stonington Church of Christ.

Her parents; husband; son, Randy Lee Varvel; sisters, Gladys Fields, Verlie Hoggatt, Martha Mann, Wilma Hamilton, and Flossie Horner; and brothers, Delbert, Homer, John, and Noble Brewer, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Brother Allen Burris and Brother Joshua Brumfield officiating. Burial will be in Lawrenceport Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
