MITCHELL Carl W. Roberts, 94, Mitchell, passed away at 10:28 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born January 14, 1914, in Paoli, he was the son of Bert H. and Florence (Taylor) Roberts. He married Helen Pemberton December 25, 1934.
He was a general contractor with Roberts and Terrell Construction. Carl was a loving husband and father who enjoyed fishing, farming, and being outdoors. He was an inventor of tools and was a lifetime member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church.

His parents; brothers, Cecil and Herman Roberts and infant John Roberts; sisters, Louise Aiken, Edna Jones, Fay Pemberton, and infant Thelma Roberts; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Annette Roberts, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
