MITCHELL – Cathy Denise Price, 71, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023, at IU Health University Hospital.
Born December 3, 1952, in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of James Wilson and Mary Jean (Fredricks) Clark. Cathy married Roger Lance Price on July 14, 1984 and he preceded her in death August 17, 2017.
Cathy started her career as an LPN at Dr. Craton’s medical office. She later became a registered nurse, working in the ICU at Bedford Regional Medical Center and retiring from St. Vincent Home Health. Additionally, she taught classes at Indiana Laborers’ Training Center. She was an active member of The Bride of Christ Fellowship; teaching, working with kids, and making crafts. Cathy loved teaching kids how to knit and crochet, and she was an avid quilter. She was secretary of the Lawrence County Rock Club and member of the Crafty Quilters. Cathy enjoyed reading and loved her pets.
Surviving are her children, Marian (Stephen) Cash-Rose of Oolitic, Cory (April) Price of Orleans, and Stacey (Kyle) Edrington of Indiana; grandchildren, Porsha (Ethan) Price, Edric Cash, Garrett Price, Tessa Price, Michael (Kayli) Edrington, and Nikki (Garrett) Shover; great-grandchildren, Kaius Cash, Amaryllis Howe, Lyla Mae Griffith, Winslow Howe, Asher Howe, and Dayson Hedrick; and siblings, Deborah Rouse of Bedford and Patrick Michael Clark of Paoli.
Her parents; husband; grandson, Dorian Cash; and brother, Donald Clark, preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Life will be at noon, Saturday, January 6, at The Bride of Christ Fellowship with Brother Greg Isom officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the church.
