ORLEANS – Cathy Jo McFarland, 63, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020, at her residence.

Born May 10, 1956, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Cecil Melton and Janet (Jenkins) Eagan.  She married Steven Dwight McFarland June 3, 1994, and he preceded her in death January 1, 2012.

Cathy was employed at Big Lots many years and was a member of Orleans Christian Church.  She enjoyed being with her grandkids and watching their sports events.  Cathy graduated from Bedford High School in 1974.

Her mother; husband; son, Michael White; and great granddaughter, Braelyn Hendley, preceded her in death.

Graveside service will be Thursday, April 16, at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Mike Hester officiating.   A memorial service will be at a later date with Pastor Tom Bostic officiating.
