SOLSBERRY – On January 12, 2024, Connie Sue Gaddis-Keen left her body Earthside.
Born May 31, 1952, Connie Sue was the oldest of six children. The daughter of Mary and James Gaddis, Connie Sue was raised in Mitchell, Indiana.
In a time not accustomed to fierce, opinionated women, Connie Sue proved herself ahead of her time and learned to question everyone and everything. She found no qualms pushing boundaries, pushing limits, and telling people around her just what was on her mind. She had a love for literature and even more so for music. Some of Connie’s favorite artists were Tom Petty, Tina Turner, Liberace, Annie Lennox, B.B. King, Tracy Chapman, Patsy Cline, and Queen. Connie loved nature and no matter where she found herself in life, you could count on her to find ways to plant flowers and feed the local wildlife.
In her mission to put as much strong-willed female energy into the universe as she could, Connie gave birth to three daughters – Michelle, Mary, and Katrina, or as she would tell you – Bug, Charlie, and Tater. Connie also went on to have nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Connie will be profoundly missed by those who knew her. “I know it’s hard to believe, but I promise it’s the truth. I promise one day you will say it too – ‘I can’t believe I ever thought I could lose you.’”
Cremation has been chosen.
