MITCHELL — Dorothea Mildred Hignite, 84, passed away at 1:10 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington.
Born May 5, 1928, in Salem, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Crane) Lyles. She married James Robert Hignite October 5, 1946, and he preceded her in death August 21, 2005.
She was a member of the Mitchell Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and owner of the Nearly New Consignment Shop in Bedford. Dorothea graduated from Salem High School in 1946.

Her parents; husband; son, Robert Steven Hignite; brothers, Lawrence Lyles, Jr., Marvin Lyles, Kenneth Lyles, and Alton Lyles; and sister, Lois Trueblood, preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 13, in the Mitchell Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
