MITCHELL Fred Gray, 72, passed away at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Garden Villa in Bedford.

Born August 20, 1939, in Leatherwood, Kentucky, he was the son of Pearl and Anne (Gray) Gray.

He was a retired from Mitchell Transport, and enjoyed the outdoors and riding motorcycles.

Fred was a U. S. Air Force veteran and a member of American Legion Post No. 250, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, at Mitchell Cemetery with military honors conducted by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No.9107.

Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

    Wow, Just heard this last evening and very sadded by the loss of one great human being. Undertaker and I spent a lot of time with Fred when we lived up in Mitchell and my children who are 19 and 21 now remember spending time at Freds. He will be missed I am just sorry that I didn't know in time to come up and pay my respects. My condolences to his many friends and family. Give Undertaker a hug for me Fred. Love You Always. Susan and boys in Evansville Indiana. PS. I remember you were here for me when Louie passed in 2001 RIP
