I remember all the overnight stays visiting with you and your mom and dad in Bedford when we were kids. I also remember you playing 'The Night The Drove Old Dixie Down' on the piano there. Good times. You will be missed.

Sheila was a beautiful person. Her smile in this photo captures that beauty. She was always warmly affectionate and kind to me, her cousin. Wish I'd gotten to know her better in this life. The last time I remember seeing her, we ran into each other shopping in the Bedford Goodwill. She was on a mission, looking for something special in particular for a loved one. You can't always find what you are looking for at a big box store and Sheila was on the hunt that day for just the right thing. Through the years, I remember her tears and brave smiles as we said goodbye to family who had gone to be with our Lord. I remember her love and care for her mother. I remember her proud smile when she spoke of her children and grand children. I know she suffered a lot physically in this life as she worked caring for others for many years while in pain herself. She is free now of the pain and worries of this life. She baked and decorated a special cake for me I will never forget. I will never forget her, her kindness, her beautiful face and expressive eyes, the warm, fierce hugs from her petite frame. Looking forward to seeing you again, cousin, when we don't have to hurry and we can just sit down and laugh together. My condolences to Jamie and Terry and all the kids. May you know the peace and comfort and love of Jesus.

I used to be friends with her and her granddaughter Jessie Floyd. I remember spending time with her at her house with Jessie and we'd laugh and joke around. She was truly an amazing woman and person in general and she will be missed dearly.
