SHELBYVILLE, TENNESSEE – Garrison Lee “Jimmy Lee” Robinson III, 66, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015, at Heritage Medical Center in Shelbyville.

Born January 26, 1949, in Fort Benning, Georgia, he was the son of Garrison Lee and Mary Lou (Gibbs) Robinson, Jr.

He retired from the U. S. Army, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War and the Invasion of Panama.  Garrison spent many years of service during peace time in South Korea.  He majored in music at Northwood Institute in West Baden following graduation from Mitchell High School.  Garrison enjoyed reading and research about history and religion.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 20, at Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
