MITCHELL – Kimberly Louise Lashlee, 62, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born January 2, 1960 in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Fred Lee and Janet Sue (Walton) Hart.  She married Billy Jack Lashlee October 15, 2013 and he preceded her in death January 5, 2022.

Kim grew up in Plainville, Indiana and was a 1978 graduate of North Daviess High School.  She worked at Ace Hardware/Ben Franklin for over 20 years. Kim was a member  of the American Legion PostNo. 250 Auxiliary and former member of Jacob Finger United Methodist Church. 

Kim enjoyed reading, sewing, and crafting. She loved her family; especially her grandbabies and dogs.

             step-children,  Kristina Marie (Rusty) Sears of Mitchell

                                     Kyle Benson (Jody) Lashlee of Franklin

                                     Alexandra (Shannon) Jones, Chase Sears, Tevin

                                     Lashlee, Dayson Lashlee, and Preston Lashlee,

                       mother, Janet Sue Hart of Sullivan

                      siblings, Steve (Lora) Hart of Mitchell

                                     Lisa (Tom) Andis of Linton

Her father and husband preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Casey Andis officiating. Cremation will follow.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.

    I have known Kim probably before we started school. Kim’s parents and my parents have always been very close friends as long as I can remember. Our families enjoyed many camping trips together in the 60’s and 70’s.
