MITCHELL – Mamie Lavon “Granny” Reynolds, 91, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019, at Mitchell Manor.

Born September 14, 1927, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of  Dearl and Lucille (Edwards) Cooper.  She married Carl E. Reynolds August 21, 1946, and he preceded her in death October 9, 1986.

Lavon was a homemaker, a people person, and always loved working at the Bookery.  She collected many donations for Samaritans Purse.

Her parents; husband; children, Jacqueline “Jackie” Shelton and Kevin Edward Reynolds; and siblings, Thelma Connerley, Wayne Cooper, Archie Cooper, and Roanna J. Reynolds, preceded her in death.

Cremation was chosen with no service.
