MITCHELL – Phillip Joseph Lynch, 66, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.

Born May 7, 1955, in Marion, he was the son of Matthew Joseph and Elsie Lucille (Newby) Lynch.  He married Zoeann Elkins August 6, 1977.

Phillip was an accountant and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus 1166. He received a
Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University.

His parents preceded him in death.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 30, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Jegan Peter and Deacon Dave Reising officiating.  Burial will be at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  The Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m.
