EVANSVILLE – Rayburn C. Seitzinger passed away at 8:52 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born in Lawrence County, Illinois, she was the daughter of Gordon and Metta (Havill) Childress. She married Milford Seitzinger August 2, 1945, and he preceded her in death in 1979.
Rayburn was a member of the Fairlawn United Methodist Church. She retired from the Vanderburgh County School Corporation, serving as cafeteria manager at Caze Elementary School. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Medical Center Auxiliary for over twenty-five years. She loved to read, travel, and held happy memories of a trip to the Holy Land, Hawaii, and many historic places in the United States. In 1988 she and another member organized a walking club in the East Side AARP, which remained active for more than 17 years.

Her parents; husband; and daughter, Gina Kay, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. (CST) Saturday, December 22, at Alexander Funeral Home – East Chapel. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. (CST) in Lawrenceville City Cemetery, Illinois.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. (CST) until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
